  12. 1. The Function of Eye3D Activator 2.0

  14. You can use [Eye3D Activator] to set your hotkeys to activate the functions
  15. of Interlacing, Page-Flipping, Sync. Doubling, Line Blanking and Normal mode.
  16. You can also use [Eye3D Activator] to capture a screen shot, test the 3D format,
  17. and view what you've captured.

  19. 2. Installation
  20. (1) [Eye3D Activator] is for Windows 9x and NT. Before installing, we strongly 
  21.     recommend you stop running all kinds of software.
  22. (2) Run Setup.exe in the folder of [Eye3D Activator].
  23. (3) After successfully installing, click [Control Panel] in the [Settings].
  24. (4) From the [Control Panel], double click on the Monitor Icon.
  25. (5) Select the [Eye3D Activator] tab to set the hotkeys for
  26.     Interlacing, Page-Flipping, Sync. Doubling, Line Blanking and Normal modes.
  27. (6) After installing, Eye3D Activator is added to [Start]. Restarting Window,
  28.     Eye3D Activator will be automatically executed. 
  29. (7) You can only change your hotkeys in the Eye3D Activator of Display 
  30.     Properties Sheet.

  32. 3. Uninstall Program
  33. (1) Stop running Eye3D Activator.
  34. (2) Eye3D Activator can be removed from Windows 9x and NT 4.0 by clicking the 
  35.     Add/Remove Programs icon in the Windows 9x or NT 4.0 Control Panel. 
  36.     Select Eye3D Activator and press the Remove button.
  37. (4) Or select [Uninstall Eye3D Activator] to run it.

  39. 4. How to use
  40. (1) [Eye3D Activator] in the Display Properties Sheet
  41.  
  42.     a. Eye3D Activator 2.0 bitmap: to show the version of Eye3D Activator.
  43.     b. Hotkey Setting: you can setup the hotkeys for Interlacing, Page-Flipping,
  44.        Sync. Doubling, Line Blanking and Normal and Capture.
  45.     c. Launch Eye3D Activator on TaskBar: to check for launching Eye3D Activator 
  46.        from Windows start. To uncheck for closing Eye3D Activator.

  48. (2) The Icon of Eye3D Activator on Taskbar
  49.  
  50.     a. When Eye3D Activator 2.0 is running, there is the icon of Eye3D Activator 
  51.        showing on Taskbar. Click it by right-clicking to show the functions.
  52.     b. Functions: Click Interlacing, Page-Flipping,
  53.        Sync. Doubling, Line Blanking and Normal to toggle the modesíC
  54.     c. Exit: Click [Exit] to stop running Ey3D Activator.
  55.     d. Properties íK: Click [Properties íK] to bring out the dialog box of Eye3D 
  56.        Activator.
  57.     e. You can double-click the icon to show the dialog box of Eye3D Activator.

  59. (3) The dialog box of Eye3D Activator
  60.    
  61.     a. Eye3D Activator 2.0 bitmap: to show the version of Eye3D Activator.
  62.     b. Current Hotkey Settings: to show current hotkey settings. You can not change 
  63.        hotkeys from here. You can only change hotkeys from the [Eye3D Activator] in 
  64.        the Display Properties Sheet.
  65.     c. Show it: click [Show It!] to show the certain mode.
  66.     d. OK: click [OK] or close the window from the upper-right corner to 
  67.            make Eye3D Activator invisible but still running.
  68.     e. Exit: Click [Exit] to stop running Ey3D Activator.
  69.     f. Settings: Click [Settings] to bring out the dialog box of [Capture Settings].
  70.     g. Test: Click [Test íK] to bring out the dialog box of [Testing].

  72. (4) The dialog box of Testing
  73.    
  74.     a. Testing Format: you can test Interlacing, Sync. Doubling and Line Blanking 
  75.        formats. 
  76.     b. Do Test!: Click it to test the format which you choose.
  77.     c. Load: Load whatever appropriate file for testing.
  78.     d. preview: Show thumbnails of whatever files you load.

  80. (5) The dialog box of Capture Settings
  81.    
  82.    a. Destination
  83.       Directory: where you've captured the screenshots
  84.       Name: filenames of you've captured. The file names will be the first 6 characters
  85.       you named and followed by 00~99.
  86.    b. ChangeíK: Click to change the directory. 
  87.    c. Default: Click to use the default settings.
  88.    d. Capture image format: Choose to capture different format of screenshots from 
  89.       Interlacing, Sync. Doubling, Line Blanking and 2D.
  90.    e. View: to browse whatever you've captured.
  91.    f. Page-Down, Page-Up, Escape, + , -: while browsing, you can use those keys to 
  92.       control the images.

  94. (6) Eye3D Viewer
  95.     You can choose Eye3D Viewer from [Start] ->[program files]->[Eye3D 
  96.     Activator] to browse whatever you've captured.
  97.     While browsing, you can use Page-Down, Page-Up, Escape, + , - 
  98.     to control the images or left-click to view next images.

  100. 5. Known Issues
  101. (1) The function of Capture deos not work while using VoodooíAVoodoo II.
  102. (2) The function of Capture does not work well sometimes, 
  103.     due to Windows APIs can not capture the right content of device.
  104. (3) The function of Capture work well with D3D games no matter stereo is on or off.
  105.     While stereo is on, The function of Capture does not work well with OpenGL 
  106.     and Glide games.
  107. (4) The captured file format is JPG (2D) or JPS (stereo). Since it is the jpg format, it 
  108.     take seconds to compress the file.
  109. (5) Windows limitation: Hotkey defining is not a compelling rule. 
  110.     If other programs do not follow the rule, Eye3D Activator can not be executable.
  111.     Please Exit Eye3D Activator first and run it from Program files again.
